in World War I
everything changed

Aviation, gas, tanks, machine guns...

Industrial-age technology entered the battle field during WW I, and the way wars were fought changed for good.

The world was left with an unprecedented number of civilian casualties, and a new world order.

in Ukraine
everything changed,
again

Digital-age technology entered the battle field, and the way wars are being fought changed again.

Small and medium-sized drones are already causing challenges to defence doctrines because of their asymmetric nature. At best, the cost of a defence vector is a multiple of the cost of an attack vector. More often than not, there is no effective defence available.

The exponential growth of artificial intelligence will continue to change battle field dynamics.

In a matter of a few years, we will see gigantic swarms of small, fully autonomous systems in the theatre of operation, and everywhere where humans live.

Today, there is no effective answer to this type of asymmetric threats at scale.
